You couldn't be in a better position for walks, with Fisherman's Walk just outside the door and the Beach a few seconds away! If you go left when you reach the beach, it will take you all the way to Hengistbury Head, which is a stunning walk with great views.
Head to Christchurch, just a 7-minute drive down the road, for a lovely riverside walk with a picnic! There are nature reserves, harbour side walks, and plenty to see - including the stunning Christchurch Priory Church, which dates back to the 12th century. Some stunning riverside restaurants are on route too.
Just down the zigzag path next to the house, you'll find Sobo Beach. It's a beautiful spot to relax with pop-up kitchens creating delicious food. They also make great cocktails and do a mean Caffe Latte. Sunbathe, or take a dip in the sea. There are toilets too! The beach is known for its clean sands and clear waters, making it a favorite for locals and visitors alike. There are life guards on duty and a surfing school. Whether you want to have a leisurely stroll along the shore or enjoy a beach picnic, Sobo Beach is the perfect nearby escape. Just walk down to Boscombe Pier for great equipment hire and the Beach Comber Cafe, well worth the walk. On the way stop off at Rivas next to the cliff lift and grab a coffee.
Bournemouth Square is just a 10-minute drive away (or just keep walking past Boscombe), and the high streets have many shops but to be honest its no longer a great centre. However walking down to the sea through the park and bandstand is well worth a visit.
The closest large supermarket is Tescos Extra on Castle Lane BH7 7DY; however, there is a Sainsburys Local and Tesco Express in Southbourne Grove. Additionally, there is a Co-op supermarket just the other side of the roundabout for convenient shopping.
There are some lovely little independent shops in Southbourne Grove. Look for 'Sweeties', a great old-fashioned sweet shop.

Indian Ocean takeaway is just across the road, offering a wide range of delicious Indian dishes. It's a convenient option for a tasty and quick meal. Its a family run business and the food is excellent.
