Central Bournemouth

George Tapps

If the football is on at any point during your stay and you want to head out to watch it, then the best place for a bit of atmosphere is the George Tappson Old Christchurch road in Bournemouth. It has a nice beer garden full of large screens and on busy match days they even do table service for drinks etc..which is good, as it can be difficult getting to the bar! I really do recommend that you get down early (about 2-3 hours) before a match if you want to get in, let alone get a table. This is my experience of the World cup and the Euro's though..you may be ok with a bit of premiership football!

Aruba

Aruba on the sea front is amazing. It's right at the beginning of Bournemouth pier and has the most incredible sea views!! The theme as you can imagine is very Caribbean with palm trees growing in the bar area itself, hanging lanterns and Tiki bar decor plus a huge cocktail list. The food is nice, the drinks are great and the view is unbelievable. Definitely one to combine with a night out, as after a certain time the restaurant becomes a bar/club at the weekends in the height of summer. Pier Approach, Bournemouth BH2 5AA

Sky Bar

Sky Bar - At the top of the Hilton hotel overlooking the whole of Bournemouth and with heated seats outdoors. Even if you just go in for one drink, it's worth seeing the view.

1812

1812 - One of the very few places in Bournemouth that is always fairly busy, no matter what day of the week it is. It also tends to have more of a more mature crowd which is great for anyone above 25 quite frankly as going out for a drink in a town of students can make you feel quite old!

BH2 Complex

Every restaurant in the BH2 Complex! This large and fairly new complex is just on the edge of Bournemouth gardens, next to Bournemouth Square. They have a 'Real Greek' among other restaurants and the roof top terrace is ideal for Covid restricted meals! They also have a 'Las Iguanas'. Check out their bottomless brunch offer from 11am onwards... Unlimited Prosecco, need we say more!

tBar So'

tBar So' - Next door to 1812 so very similar but always the best place to head to if you've been at a show at the BIC just opposite and fancy a dance afterwards!
